The Wedge Latch - The secret to the success of the Truss-Me System starts with our patent pending wedge latch.  The unique design captures and holds a swinging truss which allows you the ability to align and fasten the truss without having to worry about it coming loose. It is also accomplishes the same thing with racking I-Joists.

Truss-Me Components - The main components of this system that make the system work so well are our patented wedge latches and brackets. Using these will allow you the ability to build the top plates, runners, and starters, or check for the availability of prefabricated Truss-Me components in your area.

Truss-Me Top Plates – The Top Plates can be constructed quick and easily. By attaching the wedge latches to the designated top plate, you end up with pre-measured components that help prevent mistakes when setting your trusses or I-Joists. Once put together, they can be used in every aspect where a top plate is used. From the top plates which the trusses are set on, to the top plates/bottom plates for constructing walls, to the sill plates for setting your floor or I-joists.

Truss-Me Runners - The Runners are used to capture multiple trusses and I-Joists quickly and efficiently, basically eliminating mistakes all while making it that much safer to install trusses and I/floor joists. Instead of spanning a 2x4 out past your trusses to wedge a truss underneath, attach the wedge latches to the 2x4 at your desired measurements, and be able to swing, align, and fasten the truss in under 30 seconds.

Truss-Me Starters - Starters are attached to the gable end truss and are used to capture the first truss swung into place or to the outside band board for your I-Joists. . The starter is easily constructed using one of our patented wedge latches and brackets.
Each componenet of the Truss-Me System contains our wedge latches, which are made right here in the good ole' U.S.A.

Truss-Me System - S.A.F.E.R

  • Safe - Each component of the Truss-Me system contains our patent pending wedge latch which captures and holds a swinging truss or I-Joist. No longer do you have to worry about climbing out on a truss that isn't secured to measure and nail it.
  • Accurate - Each component is pre-measured to 16", 24", and 4' on center thereby eliminating many of the common mistakes that occur when setting trusses, I-Joists, or laying out interior and exterior walls. Note: (Custom Built Home Truss-Me packages available at certain stores)
  • Faster - The ability to swing, align, and fasten a truss or I-Joist in under 1 minute makes the Truss-Me system faster than most methods currently being used today. Field tests showed trusses being swung, aligned, and fastened in as fast as 25 seconds with an inexperienced crew.
  • Economical/Easier - The cost of the Truss-Me system is eliminated by the savings gained from the time and labor costs saved by using this system. Plus, the Truss-Me system makes setting trusses easy even for the novice builder.
  • Reusable - Once your sheeting is in place, you can take the runners off and attach them to the bottom chords of the trusses thereby making the roof system tighter, help prevent the trusses from twisting, and make it easier to hang drywall.  You can also take them off and use them for installing the I-Joists or use them on your next job, thereby saving you even more.
